I have agreed to volunteer with Urban Abundance and/or Clark County Parks (CCP). I volunteer my time because of my desire to further improve our local county parks and orchards. I understand that my volunteer activities may entail a risk of physical injury or death, and that I may be exposed to hazards including but not limited to: weather, unimproved topographic hazards such as cliffs, ravines, caves, loose or falling rocks, poisonous insects, reptiles or plants, wild animals, fire (including intentionally set fires for biological management), actions of other participants, volunteers or citizens in the area who may not act safely and various other hazards including those associated with strenuous manual labor. I also understand the hazards inherent in commuting to and from the volunteer sites for the purpose of the volunteer effort. I understand and voluntarily assume all such risks of my own free will, as evidenced by my signature on the foregoing Volunteer Sign Up.

I agree to abide by all the rules and regulations of Urban Abundance & CCP regarding safety and use of any and all equipment. I certify that I have watched and understood any and all safety videos recorded for the purpose of volunteer training. I acknowledge that there have been confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus throughout the United States and Washington. I agree to not participate in any volunteer activity if I have symptoms, including but not limited to, shortness of breath, fever, or cough, and to maintain social distancing of 6 feet between myself and other participants during each volunteer event I attend. I understand that Urban Abundance nor CCP permits the use of ladders at harvest events. I understand that no drugs or alcoholic beverages are to be consumed before or during volunteer activities. This release is effective regardless of whether the claim of liability is asserted in negligence, strict liability, or other theory of tort recovery. For myself, my estates and personal representatives thereof, my heirs and assigns, I forever release Urban Abundance and CCP from any and all costs, claims, losses, liabilities, or damages, and agree to make no claim, nor to institute any suit, action or proceedings against CCP, Urban Abundance, their officers, directors, employees and/or agents, relating to an accident, illness, incident or occurrence arising from or in any way related to my service as a volunteer with either party.
